AROTEC Diagnostics have just launched their new recombinant tissue transglutaminase protein (tTG)

Tissue transglutaminase, a well-established marker in coeliac disease, is the most widely distributed member of the transglutaminase family, being expressed in almost all cell types. Belonging to a family of calcium dependent enzymes it has been found to be expressed in up to 8 different isoforms, depending on its loci within tissues. Enzymatically tTG is known to play a role in tissue repair, specifically in remodelling functions whilst also exhibiting protective and preventative properties.

A markedly increased expression of tTG in the mucosa, is found in patients suffering from coeliac disease. Anti-tTG autoantibodies of both IgA and IgG classes originate from B lymphocytes in the intestinal mucosa of CD patients, with IgA anti-tTG considered to be highly specific as a clinical marker for CD.

This product has been designed to provide very high purity (>90%) with excellent assay reactivity when tested against other commercially available tTG recombinants.

As with all AROTEC products, our recombinant tTG is fully manufactured in our ISO accredited facility in Wellington, New Zealand, providing you with another high-quality reagent for the autoimmune diagnostic market.

Please contact your local representative for further information or email us directly at info@arodia.com.

AROTEC Diagnostics is pleased to offer a native source of neutrophil gelatinase-associated lipocalin (NGAL)

Identified as a pivotal early biomarker for the diagnosis of acute kidney injury. Acute kidney injury is a common complication and prognostic factor in the longterm outcome of patients undergoing liver transplantation.

Creatinine has been a key marker in the diagnosis of renal injury, but it does not distinguish between acute kidney injury, prerenal azotemia and chronic renal disease. The accumulation of creatinine can also lag behind the injury which can ultimately cause delays in diagnosis.

NGAL is found to increase with renal injury earlier than creatinine, within 2 hours or less, offering a powerful and effective diagnostic tool.

AROTEC's NGAL is a 23KDa glycoslyated dimer with over 90% purity.
