AROTEC’s IgG/Rheumatoid Factor (RF) Precipitant, produced from New Zealand sheep polyclonal antiserum, has been designed to remove almost all IgG antibodies as well as IgM rheumatoid factors from human sera samples.
IgM detection assays can be affected by the presence of pathogen-specific IgG leading to false negative results. The presence of rheumatoid factors in a sample can result in false positives as it will form an immune complex with IgG which can bind to your target antigen.
Precipitation and removal of these components is therefore a critical step in clinical assays to minimise the potential for both false positive or false negative results.
AROTEC's IgG/RF Precipitant can remove >90% of IgG from patient samples within 10 minutes when used at a 1:5 ratio of patient sera to reagent.
